Valencia Basket returns to Fonteta looking for its first home win vs. Olympiacos Piraeus

Turkish Airlines EuroLeague returns to La Fonteta after Valencia Basket men’s team has taken a good haul from its three away games in a row with two wins in Vitoria and Berlin to face a major challenge, getting its first win at home against Olympiacos Piraeus (Thursday 8, 8:30 p.m., Fonteta, #Vamos) in a top continental competition round 26 game.

 

The Taronja squad faces this game in a good moment after winning three in its last four games in European competition and after winning on Barça's court in the Endesa League.

 

But not only do they face a rival that retains a good part of the block from last season's runners-up team, they also face the weight of a history that says that Olympiacos has taken victory in their seven previous visits to Fonteta.

 

In a duel between the two teams that allow the fewest points in the competition, the Taronja team will need to overcome one more week of their sidelined players in the center position with the absences due to injury of Brandon Davies and Boubacar Touré, so Álex Mumbrú will have thirteen players available.

 

Valencia Basket is currently eighth in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with a record of 13-12.
